Sassi and Crapiata
From the Market to the Neighborhood
Crapiata is the cereal and legume soup prepared on August 14th and 15th, when every family in the neighborhood would bring a handful of their harvest to combine into one shared pot.
The route starts at the neighborhood market, among stalls of local products, and arrives in a Sassi neighborhood where Crapiata is still prepared and shared today, following the community gesture that gave it life.
